Ferries
It should be borne in mind that the most complete ferries are on Friday evening along the route Keramoti-Thassos and on Sunday Thassos-Keramoti. It is connected with the fact that local Greeks travel to Thasos as a summer cottage on weekends, well, plus tourists.
Ferry boats on Thassos are not the same as in some countries (Thailand, for example), stinky diesel, uncomfortable and not falling apart, thanks only to the gulls. Thassos ferries are comfortable and very comfortable, with air conditioning. You will get a special pleasure from such a short sea voyage. Time flies by unnoticed, because the ferry has something to do. Feed the well-fed, happy gulls, drink soft drinks, which can be bought right there on the ferry. And you can just snuggle on the couch.
In the port of Limenas besides the ferries there are a lot of ships and boats, fishing and sightseeing. From the port of Thassos you can go on an excursion on a small yacht around the island for a whole day, book a water taxi. The offices of these services are located on the island's promenade.
You have 2 opportunities to get to Thassos by sea. In addition to the port of Limenas, there is a port of Prinos and if it is closer to your hotel and more convenient for transportation, you can consider it. However, the price of a Ferry ticket to or from Prinos is more expensive and the journey time is about one and a half hours, since the port of Prinos is connected with Kavala, not Keramoti.
